Temporary Laboratory/Research Support – School of Computer Science
Job Summary: Provide support services in the operation and maintenance of an academic or research laboratory, including performing analyses; setting up, operating, maintaining, and cleaning equipment; and maintaining stock of supplies. Duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs. The position interacts consistently with academic and/or research faculty members, staff, and students.
Responsibilities
Setup, operate, and maintain instruments and other equipment used in performing lab tests and experiments.
Order supplies and materials as required; maintain records.
Setup laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations.
May clean instruments, glassware, and other lab equipment.
Prepare and process laboratory samples for use in assigned tests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work on development of hashing-based and sampling-based techniques for SMT counting.
Release and maintenance of open-source software.
Write and communicate research results.
Apply expertise in SAT and SMT solvers.
Educational Requirements High school diploma, GED Certificate, or Vocational School Diploma.
Required Experience Up to two years of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's and/or Master’s in Computer Science and related disciplines such as Mathematics.
Prior experience with SAT/SMT solvers.
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities This job requires working knowledge in the use of instrumentation and other lab equipment, laboratory processes and procedures specific to the assigned lab, and skills in inventory management and the use of specialized computer applications.
