7 on/off days (United States of America) Job Description : Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Histocompatibility Technologist to join its team. The Histocompatibility Technologist performs laboratory analyses of specimens, distributes test requests to patient care units, facilities, or physicians, and supports the mission, vision, and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. The Transplant Immunology and Immunogenetics Laboratory at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, is CAP accredited and serves a 500-bed teaching hospital with active Kidney, Kidney/Pancreas, and Liver transplant programs. Our laboratory also has an active Flow Cytometry program for leukemia and lymphoma immunophenotyping and immune monitoring. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree with appropriate natural science classes Registered or registry eligible MT(ASCP), CHT(ASHI), CHS(ASHI), or equivalent New graduate or certified MT work experience Ability to distinguish colors Related Work Experience and Skills: New graduate or certified MT work experience High energy and motivation Ability to assume a lead role in the absence of onsite supervisory personnel Responsibilities: HLA typing by SSOP molecular methodologies HLA antibody screening and analysis via Luminex technologies Flow Cytometric cross matching and post-transplant immune monitoring Leukemia and Lymphoma immunophenotyping Additional tests: urine and serum protein electrophoresis, immunofixation, ELISA for heparin-induced thrombocytopenia Effective communication and relationship-building Accountability and continuous improvement in patient care Professional growth and team engagement Methodist Dallas Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider in North Texas, recognized as a Magnet-designated hospital and among the 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare by Becker’s Hospital Review in 2023.
