General Statement of Duties
Supports student learning through the use of Edgenuity and other digital resources.
Use and evaluate instructional materials and resources, including Technology, that support the secondary school curriculum.
Consistently act in the best interests of students and model appropriate behavior in all professional interactions.
Essential Duties The physical demands of this assignment include the ability to sit and stand for extended periods and the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Professional Expectations
Provides direct support and assistance to site administrators and teachers/facilitators assigned to the online Credit Recovery programs across the school division.
Reviews teacher updates and site reports on student progress.
Researches, develops, and disseminates curriculum‑driven support materials using new technology resources, emerging technologies, best practices, and professional development opportunities to improve student achievement.
Collaborates with school personnel and administrators to support the online credit recovery at each program site.
Collaborates with Coordinators of Assessment and Remediation (CAR) to ensure that the appropriate assessments are administered to students participating in the online credit recovery program.
Assists in the evaluation and assessment of teachers’ technology use and facilitation skills.
Uses data to design and conduct high‑quality professional development; evaluates activities to determine effectiveness.
Communicates regularly with the Director of Secondary Education, the Department of Technology and Information Services, principals, and other school personnel as needed.
Monitors the online credit recovery programs and produces reports and updates to the school division.
Serves as a liaison between schools and the Department of Secondary Education for online credit recovery programming.
Serves as a liaison between the school division and the online curriculum provider.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Teaching license required.
Knowledge of 6‑12 curriculum, instructional strategies, and the Standards of Learning.
Proficiency with instructional technology strategies, practices, and their relation to effective classroom instruction.
Ability to develop and implement technology learning activities for adults.
Proficient in a variety of software applications or an equivalent combination of experience and training which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Additional Information The actual salary for this assignment will be prorated based on the start date, which will be determined by the employee’s first day in the role.
Salary
Minimum annual starting salary:
$57,925.45 (Bachelors)
Maximum annual starting salary:
$60,706.02 (Masters)
