Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Coda Search is partnering with a leading, fast-growing entertainment company known for its innovation, creativity, and global reach. With revenues expanding rapidly and new ventures launching across media, music, sports, and film, the company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its high-performing finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic industry at the center of culture and entertainment. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to U.S. GAAP and company policies.
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice review, coding, and payment tracking.
Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording of revenue, expenses, and intercompany transactions.
Support external audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to streamline accounting workflows and increase efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2.5+ years of accounting experience; entertainment, media, or related industry experience preferred.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles.
Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite, Workday, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
