We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Funding Specialist to join our dynamic firm. In this role, you will identify, prepare, submit, and manage loan and grant applications from start to finish, supporting our projects and initiatives. Strong writing and data entry skills are essential, as your expertise will help secure funding for innovative designs and engineering solutions that benefit our clients and communities. The role requires working efficiently under application deadlines.
Essential Duties:
Identify and evaluate funding opportunities at local, state, federal, and private levels that align with project goals and client needs.
Stay informed on funding trends, criteria changes, and deadlines.
Complete diverse grant applications across various regions and entities, quickly adapting to new processes.
Gather and analyze information and documentation for applications.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop persuasive narratives and ensure technical accuracy.
Prepare application schedules and supporting materials tailored to each funding source.
Ensure timely submission of complete applications according to guidelines.
Analyze funding options to create comprehensive funding packages for projects with multiple sources.
Manage each application to meet deadlines and monitor progress.
Communicate updates to stakeholders and serve as the primary contact with funding agencies.
Coordinate meetings and communication with funding organizations as needed.
Assess success rates and recommend improvements for future applications.
Maintain a growth mindset, demonstrating accountability, creativity, and potential to lead a team.
Qualifications:
3+ years experience in grant writing or loan application preparation.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
Background in architecture, engineering, or construction management is a plus.
Knowledge of funding programs relevant to architecture, engineering, and construction.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Proficiency in budgeting, data analysis, and project management tools.
Strong organizational skills to handle multiple applications.
Familiarity with compliance requirements of funding agencies.
