As the
Tax Analyst , you will have the opportunity to: Be responsible for tax compliance and return preparation, including applicable research related to specific tax compliance issues The Team
Black & Veatch’s Business Enablement consists of critical groups that help enable the organization’s people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible. Functions in this group include Digital & Information Technology, Global Finance, Global Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services. Key Responsibilities
Compliance and Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns File original and/or annual tax registrations File property tax listings and filings Maintain track of current compliance and ensure all tax returns are filed in a timely manner and are organized for record keeping Planning and Research: Research tax issues Assist with special projects Dispute and Resolutions: Assist with documentation for tax inquiries Retrieve information for tax exams Accounting for Taxes: Prepare tax provision calculations Primary Internal Clients: Primary internal clients are finance managers and/or finance supervisors May assist with requests from other departments, business lines and entities as needed with tax issues Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Technical Skills: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Basic Microsoft Excel, Intermediate Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Systems and Reporting Knowledge of Black and Veatch Systems, Basic Knowledge of percent complete accounting, Basic General Accounting knowledge, Basic Knowledge of Financial Statement analysis, Basic Knowledge of Income Tax, Sales Tax, and/or International Tax, Basic Preferred Non-Technical Skills: Planning Action Oriented Peer Relationships Dealing with Ambiguity Problem Solving Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent experience Typically 2+ years' related experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations Work Environment/Physical Demands
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments. Salary Plan
