Job Description The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville (UFCOM-J), Department of Surgery, Division of Acute Care Surgery, in collaboration with the Department of Emergency Medicine, seeks two motivated and energetic full-time nocturnist Acute Care Surgeons at the non‑tenure accruing level of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. We are expanding our services to include our North Campus (academic community hospital setting) multi‑specialty ICU, which would be the primary location for this position. The Division provides a full‑service acute‑care surgery model downtown, including adult and pediatric trauma care, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care. We are starting a nocturnist acute‑care surgery model at our North location with coverage of the multi‑disciplinary ICU and emergency general surgery. The ICU at UF Health North is staffed overnight with an APP. There is an additional general surgery APP on at night. General Surgery residents are available overnight to participate in surgical cases.

Candidates should have a MD /DO and board eligibility / board certification in surgery and surgical critical care.
Candidates must either have or be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Florida.
Expected Salary Academic appointment will commensurate with training and level of experience; benefits are excellent.
