As a Senior Embedded Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of electric vehicle performance and safety. Youll design and implement advanced control systems for vehicle motion, focusing on dynamic attributes such as steering, braking, and acceleration. This position combines deep technical expertise with hands?on integration and testing to ensure optimal control, stability, and driving experience. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to bring innovative vehicle technologies from concept to production while ensuring reliability, precision, and compliance with safety standards. Accountabilities Design and implement control strategies for vehicle motion systems, including both lateral and longitudinal dynamics. Collaborate with suppliers to define system functions, develop interfaces, and drive integration into centralized motion control platforms. Partner with software integration and electrical hardware teams to align software?level requirements and ensure seamless system performance. Conduct functional safety analyses and participate in the development of test plans to validate firmware functionality, stability, and performance. Develop subsystem block diagrams, lead technical reviews, and support system validation throughout all stages of vehicle development. Coordinate with system integration leads to define requirements, oversee component sourcing, and validate Device Transmittals. Support hardware validation, lab testing, and the setup of automation frameworks for unit, SIL, and HIL testing in early development phases.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 10+ years of experience in

embedded control systems

development (e.g., chassis systems, VCM, or dynamic vehicle functions). Proven expertise in

electrical hardware, prototype bring?up, and systems development . Strong understanding of

vehicle network protocols

such as CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet. Hands?on experience with

electrical test equipment

(oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, power supplies, etc.). Familiarity with

functional safety principles

and experience conducting system?level safety assessments. Experience in creating and executing

component?level testing and validation procedures . Proficiency with

software build tools

(Bazel, Scons, CMake) and scripting languages such as

Python . Solid grasp of

software design fundamentals , system debugging, and hardware bring?up. Excellent communication, problem?solving, and teamwork skills in fast?paced engineering environments.
