At Copain, we bring together the comfort of a neighborhood café with the craft of a true boulangerie, now expanding into full-service dining at our new Ballantyne location. By day, guests will find hand-crafted pastries, naturally leavened breads, and artisan coffee, while in the evening the restaurant transforms into a polished dinner experience. Our approach to food is ingredient driven, seasonal, and rooted in honest cooking, designed to highlight quality and care in every dish. We’re hiring a Server Assistant/Expo to help keep service running smoothly. In this role, you’ll support servers, run food, clear and reset tables, and take care of the details that make for a great guest experience. The position also offers room to grow into other roles within the restaurant for those interested in building a career in hospitality. What You’ll Do
Assist servers with all aspects of table maintenance, ensuring sections remain clean, stocked, and guest-ready. Run food to tables promptly and accurately, communicating clearly with servers and kitchen staff. Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next guest, keeping pace with the flow of service. Anticipate guest needs, from water refills to table adjustments, always aiming to enhance the dining experience. Complete assigned sidework and station duties with consistency and accountability. What We’re Looking For
A positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills. Dependability and consistency in showing up ready to support both guests and coworkers. Ability to stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment. Eagerness to learn and grow within the hospitality industry. Previous restaurant experience is a plus, but not required.
