QA Agile Tester (P&C insurance experience) Job Title: Senior Agile QA Tester – Insurance Systems Location: 100% Remote (Candidates must reside in EST or CST time zones) Employment Type: Contract (6 months, with potential for extension or contract-to-hire) Pay Structure: W2 Pay Rate: $45/hour (W2 ONLY) Visa Sponsorship / C2C / Third-Party: Not accepted, U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only Background/Reference Checks: Required Interview Process One video interview via Teams with hiring manager and QA lead Must provide availability for interviews over the next 5 business days Role Overview We are seeking a senior-level QA professional with strong manual and automation testing experience, particularly within Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of policy administration, billing, invoicing, payments, collections, and audit processes. This role requires someone who can lead QA efforts independently, create test cases from business requirements, and contribute to automation using Java and Selenium. Key Responsibilities Analyze business requirements and translate them into test cases Execute manual test cases and track defects Create and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI Write and execute SQL queries for data validation Present test results, strategies, and risk assessments to non-QA stakeholders Lead QA efforts for assigned projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment Required Qualifications 5+ years of QA experience 1+ year working on Agile teams 2+ years of experience in P&C insurance systems Experience with policy administration or billing, invoicing, payments, collections, and audit Candidates must reside in EST or CST time zones Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to write test cases independently from requirements Proficiency in SQL and API testing (Postman, Swagger, SoapUI) Experience creating and executing automation scripts (Java, Selenium, or scripting languages like Python, Ruby, PowerShell) Familiarity with formal QA environments, including requirements repositories, test case management tools, and defect tracking systems Experience leading QA aspects of projects Preferred Qualifications Experience with XML Exposure to formal QA processes and tools Ability to mentor junior QA team members Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Contract Job Function Quality Assurance Industries Staffing and Recruiting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at The Planet Group by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
