Talent Space, Inc is looking for a knowledgeable and detail-driven Electronic Service Technician to join our team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the testing, calibration, repair, and maintenance of manufactured electronic test equipment. Your expertise will help ensure the ongoing accuracy, performance, and reliability of high-precision instruments used across a range of technical and industrial applications. Key Responsibilities: Perform hands-on service work including functional testing, calibration, troubleshooting, assembly, and disassembly of electronic instrumentation. Diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure all equipment meets defined specifications and performance standards. Leverage your expertise to support internal teams and external customers by delivering reliable, effective solutions. Maintain accurate service records and documentation in accordance with quality and safety standards. Collaborate across teams, working closely with field service personnel and customer representatives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Drive continuous improvement by contributing ideas and solutions that enhance processes and performance within your area of expertise.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in electronic testing, calibration, and repair. Familiarity with test and measurement equipment is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and service manuals. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset. A relevant technical degree or certification in electronics, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred. Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in the calibration and repair of electronic test equipment is strongly preferred. Experience working with high-voltage and high-current instruments is highly desirable. Background in technical education, specialized training/certification, or Military (PMEL/TMDE) experience is required. Familiarity with automated calibration software platforms (e.g., STE, PC-Based, MET/CAL, TME) is a plus. Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Windows and Office, is essential. PMEL experience is strongly desired. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Solid electronic and mechanical troubleshooting abilities. Ability to interpret technical documentation and follow defined service processes. Demonstrates professionalism and adheres to the highest standards of business ethics. Strong focus on customer service and ability to build effective relationships across teams and with clients. Effective at managing time and resources, multitasking, and ensuring proper use of equipment and tools (e.g., ESD practices, connector care, ETE). Perform adjustments, calibrations, and basic repairs on a variety of electronic test equipment. Solve technical problems of limited scope, escalating more complex issues to senior technicians as needed. Deliver consistent, high-quality service in alignment with team and service center goals. Maintain high workmanship standards and support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., ESD compliance, Service Note adherence). Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers-verbally and in writing-and escalate issues appropriately. Follow established production processes and contribute to the achievement of defined output targets.
