The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Development to join their Medical and Healthcare Advancement senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development team, strategically managing team activities, and aligning philanthropic investments with the school's priorities. This role involves crafting philanthropic plans, leading a comprehensive strategy for prospect engagement, and maintaining a portfolio of key prospects. The Executive Director will also be involved in day-to-day fundraising operations, setting performance goals, and working closely with senior leadership to ensure the success of fundraising activities.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of fundraising experience, with at least 5 years in a management capacity. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in major gift fundraising, experience in a complex development operation, and a strong understanding of the intricacies of business travel. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or equivalent professional experience, previous capital campaign experience, and a background in writing and communications within a higher education or non-profit environment. Key skills include the ability to manage and motivate a team, work with senior officers and high-level volunteers, and handle multiple projects with discretion and a strong commitment to diversity.
