About the Role
The Company is seeking a Tax Director/VP to provide strategic leadership and management of its income tax and sales and use tax functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and reporting across various jurisdictions. This includes ensuring accurate and timely tax filings, maintaining compliance with regulations, and serving as the primary point of contact for tax authorities and external auditors. The role also involves leading tax audits, managing sales tax exemption certificates, and supporting strategic tax planning and process improvements.
Applicants for the Tax Director/VP position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with a preference for a tax emphasis, and a CPA is also preferred. A minimum of 7 years' experience in income tax and sales and use tax is required, with additional experience in AR, AP, or billing being a plus. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of tax codes, GAAP, and accounting principles, and be proficient in tax research and documentation. The role demands a detail-oriented, organized individual capable of managing multiple priorities and proficient in accounting and tax software systems.
