Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of HR, this position is responsible for providing information to employees and other stakeholders related to the HR functions including recruitment and selection, advertising and sourcing candidates, interviewing, conducting new employee orientation, supporting employee requests, maintaining policies, coaching for performance management and HR compliance. The successful individual will promote employee engagement and a culture of excellence focused on patient care.
Recruiting Responsibilities Review and discuss approved personnel requisitions and job descriptions with hiring manager to determine job‑specific requirements, interview team and timeline, potential compensation and update requisition log for compliance with federal and state recruiting regulations.
Identify applicant sources, prepare job posting materials, draft advertisements, source resumes and screen against minimum qualifications; may telephone screen qualified applicants.
Forward and discuss qualified applicant resumes with hiring manager to determine candidates for interview.
Schedule candidate interviews, provide guidance on appropriate interview questions and may arrange mock interviews to build manager interview skills.
Conduct post‑interview feedback sessions, obtain candidate assessment from interview team, consult with hiring manager on candidate selection and compensation package and perform reference checks.
Extend verbal job offer to selected candidate, coordinate offer package preparation, obtain appropriate approvals.
Upon written acceptance and completed forms, initiate background investigations and license verification, investigate and resolve background/employment related issues and escalates issues that conflict with hiring practices.
Generalist Responsibilities Provide consultation to employees and management on human resource management issues to include staffing, employee relations, performance management, dispute resolution, compliance and integrity, policy administration and dissemination of company policies and procedures in compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
Investigate employee relation issues, identify issues, and recommend resolutions; identify facts, policy violations and breaches of culture/values that impact the workplace; involve HR technical experts to troubleshoot and resolve issues; recommend solutions and implementation plans.
Assist management with writing effective and accurate job descriptions, requisition process and approval, eCOS, salary administration and related tasks.
Conduct exit interviews, summarize findings and write executive overview; manage employee engagement survey, summarize findings and facilitate follow‑up and action item meetings; may perform workforce analysis and make recommendations on a variety of HR issues.
Qualifications Requires a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and HR administration experience. Professional HR certification is a plus. Requires working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, ability to multi‑task with strong attention to detail. Proficiency with HRIS (ideally WorkDay and iCims) and other computer systems required. Training and development experience strongly preferred.
