Title: Medical Device Assembler
Shift: 7:00 Am to 3:30 Pm
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Pay rate: $21.50/hr
Overview Responsible for producing high-quality medical devices (pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related assemblies) within a manufacturing cell. Works under close supervision to perform assembly, repair, and testing operations following standardized procedures.
Key Responsibilities
This is a non-exempt position. Assemble, repair, and test medical devices according to written procedures and quality standards. Maintain accurate production and quality records to ensure full traceability. Follow all safety and cleanliness guidelines, including proper gowning and equipment usage. Communicate issues, ideas, and solutions clearly to supervisors and team members. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and productivity. Education and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and electronic data systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle small components. Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing preferred. Ability to prioritize tasks and make critical decisions with minimal supervision. Dress Code & Cleanroom Standards
Non-shedding, clean clothing required; no loose fibers, glitter, tassels, or fleece. Lab coats/gowns must fully cover upper garments; no exposed sleeves or high collars. Closed-toe, low-heeled shoes with socks or stockings are required (no sandals or open heels). No nail polish, artificial nails, jewelry, makeup, or scented products in production areas. Head coverings for custom/cultural reasons must be tightly woven and fully covered by gowning.
