About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key leader in the accounting department, responsible for overseeing global general ledger, accounting operations, international accounting, and global equity and payroll. This role demands a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of leading and developing high-performance teams. The Assistant Controller will ensure the timely and accurate close processes, support SEC and regulatory reporting, and maintain compliance with US GAAP and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, including experience in public companies, and a deep understanding of technical accounting, SOX compliance, and financial performance.
Applicants for the Assistant Controller position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a Controller role, preferably at a public company. A CPA or Chartered Accountant with a Big 4 audit background is required. The role demands a leader with proven experience in driving financial performance, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to evolve processes and systems to support a growth-stage environment.
