Overview Dental Associates of Northern Virginia is looking for a Dental Hygienist Assistant in Falls Church, VA to join our clinical team. No experience required but will need to have X-ray certification for the state of VA. Hours: Mondays-Fridays 8am-5pm Position Overview: As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. - Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization
- Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress
- Update patient health history and chart treatment progress
- Expose and develop radiographs (if certified)
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
- Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments
- Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems
- Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA
- High school diploma or GED (Required)
- Associate or certification in Dental Assisting
- Radiology certification (required)
- CPR certification (Preferred but can be obtained upon hiring)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort
