Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Shop – Sunstate Equipment Co.: Where Safety and People are Core Values!

Hiring Immediately; PAID WEEKLY. Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday 7AM - 5PM (Overtime Eligible). Pay Range: $26 - $31+/hr dependent upon experience + quarterly branch performance bonus. Location: This position will be based in the shop located in Buford, GA.

Position Requirements

Sunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis.

• Minimum of 2 or more years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with heavy construction equipment or rental equipment
• Intermediate experience with major and minor repairs of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and diesel and gas engines on construction equipment
• Experience with Tier 4 engines and DPF, SCR, and EGR aftertreatment systems is preferred
• Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and equipment repairs
• Must have the necessary tools to perform the scope of equipment repairs
• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications
• Intermediate understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods
• Diesel laptop experience is preferred
• Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards during repairs
• Willingness to learn; this position comes with growth opportunities
