for their Sacramento office. About the Role The Project Manager plays a key leadership role overseeing all aspects of architectural project deliveryfrom concept through construction. Acting as the main point of contact for clients and internal teams, this person ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with the firms quality and service standards. The ideal candidate is both technically proficient and collaborative, capable of guiding a team toward design excellence while maintaining project efficiency.
Your Impact Lead and supervise Project Architects and project teams to ensure the production of high-quality construction documents. Oversee all phases of project development, including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding, and Construction Administration. Manage schedules, budgets, and project resources to achieve successful delivery and profitability goals. Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships by providing excellent communication and project transparency throughout the process. Direct, mentor, and support junior staff, fostering professional growth and a collaborative team culture. Lead construction administration activities, including on-site coordination, progress meetings, RFIs, and change management. Provide technical guidance and quality oversight to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. Collaborate closely with project executives and principals to ensure alignment on design intent, schedule, and deliverables.
What Youll Bring Bachelors Degree in Architecture or a related field (Masters preferred). Architectural license preferred. 7+ years of relevant professional experience with demonstrated success leading projects. Experience with K-12, higher education, or other institutional project types. Proven ability to lead teams, manage client expectations, and resolve complex project challenges. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required; working knowledge of SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Thorough understanding of building codes, construction standards, and coordination processes. Decisive, proactive approach to project management and problem-solving.
