Shipping and Receiving Associate

to join our operations team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for supporting shipping, receiving, and warehouse functions - including the movement, storage, and tracking of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods. This is a full-time, hourly position with full company benefits, reporting to the Shipping and Inventory Manager.

This is a fast-paced environment that requires solid multi-tasking abilities, strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety, accuracy and efficiency. Flexibility during peak periods and a proactive, customer-focused mindset are key to success.

Essential Responsibilities and Expectations:

Although not all inclusive, additional responsibilities, expectations and skills will include:

Receive incoming shipments, inspect goods and accurately enter data into the ERP system. Move materials and finished products between departments/locations. Pull, prepare, and ship customer orders (loose cartons and pallets) ensuring quality and timely delivery. Generate and manage shipping documentation: BOLs, invoices, packing slips and order tracking. Provide freight estimates to Customer Service using FedEx ToolBox and HelpDesk. Maintain organization of warehouse inventory, ensure materials are stored safely and properly. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. Participate in facility upkeep, including snow removal, grounds maintenance and basic equipment repairs. Support facility systems and preventative maintenance activities (HVAC, compressed air, fire alarms, etc.) Collaborate with team members to meet daily goals and continuous improvement initiatives. position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Basic math and analytical skills with high attention to detail. Familiarity with ERP systems and basic computer proficiency. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, bend, and perform physical tasks safely using proper ergonomic techniques. Certification (or willingness to obtain) for DOT, IATA and IMDG hazardous goods shipping. Forklift experience preferred. Willingness to work overtime and adapt to changing priorities. Commitment to safety standards such as GMP, OSHA, and ISO9001 compliance. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
