About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Education and Research to play a pivotal role in defining and advancing the educational objectives and goals of its curriculum and professional learning products. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing informed analyses of pedagogical trends, educational research, and the needs of educators and students. This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of literacy, EdTech product design, and instructional design best practices, who can ensure the highest quality research standards and content development. The Vice President will also be instrumental in scaling the practices of the teams that produce literacy products and tools, both for classroom use and internal resources.
Key responsibilities for the Vice President include setting the goals for student and professional learning curriculum development, staying abreast of educational research to guide the creation of innovative materials, and managing relationships with leading researchers in the field. The role demands a strategic approach to product research, assessment, and efficacy research, as well as the ability to guide the integration of AI and emerging technology into educational products. The ideal candidate will have a background in classroom or direct-instructional settings, at least 15 years of experience in EdTech, and an advanced degree in education or a related field. They should be adept at managing a budget, have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
