About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's bold transformation. The successful candidate will be an innovative, visionary, and strategic leader, responsible for shaping the HR function to meet the evolving needs of the university's students, faculty, and the broader community. This includes overseeing all aspects of human resources, such as labor relations, executive compensation, organizational development, compliance, and talent strategy. The CHRO will also be a trusted advisor to the President and a key member of the Cabinet, fostering a culture of equity, engagement, and professional growth across the campus.
Ideal candidates for the CHRO position at the company will have a minimum of 15 years' progressive HR leadership experience, with at least five years at the senior executive level. A bachelor's degree is required, with a master's degree preferred, and a proven track record in strategic planning, change management, and the use of modern HR technologies and analytics. The role demands a leader with exceptional emotional intelligence, communication skills, and a successful history in unionized environments, as the company has three active labor unions and a diverse, multifaceted workforce.
