About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP/Controller to play a pivotal role in the launch and management of a new fund. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a comprehensive understanding of the existing funds' investments, structure, operations, and reporting in preparation for the new fund launch. This includes facilitating the launch of a 1940 Act registered private credit fund, implementing technology systems, establishing a control environment, and developing accounting and operating policies and procedures. The role also involves ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all public filings, leading the financial reporting process, and monitoring compliance with SEC and IRS regulatory tests.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's or higher degree in accounting or finance, with 7-12 years' experience in the field, and a CPA is preferred. Experience with SEC reporting for Registered Investment Companies and a background in credit-related products are essential. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, and resourceful, with experience in designing and implementing new policies and procedures. Advanced Excel skills are preferred, and the role requires excellent time management, the ability to work in a high-pressure environment, and experience in managing and training staff. The VP/Controller will also be involved in liquidity management, responding to investor inquiries, and handling various ad-hoc requests from senior management and other teams.
