About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join their team. The CMO will be a key leader, providing strategic direction and execution of clinical and behavioral development plans. This role is pivotal in administering, maintaining, and expanding programs of primary and preventative medical and behavioral health care in a community healthcare setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, comprehensive, and patient-centered healthcare for both adults and children, in compliance with the scope of practice for the State of Michigan.
Candidates for the CMO position at the company must have a Doctorate degree in Medicine, a valid and unrestricted Michigan medical doctor license, and be board certified by the American Board of Medicine. A minimum of 5 years of clinical and executive leadership experience, including fiscal and medical staff management, is required. Experience within an integrated care system and working with individuals with mental illness, substance abuse, and co-occurring behaviors is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of current healthcare trends, clinical risk management experience, and strong interpersonal and leadership skills. The CMO will also be expected to have a proven track record of results, be highly collaborative, and possess excellent communication skills.
