About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Clinical Pharmacology. The successful candidate will be tasked with building and leading the clinical pharmacology function to support the design and execution of Phase 1 programs across various therapeutic areas. This includes providing strategic drug development input, clinical pharmacology expertise to cross-functional teams, and ensuring the efficient execution of current and future Phase 1 programs. The role also involves developing strong working relationships within the clinical development department and with other key functions such as pharmacovigilance, regulatory, discovery, CMC, translational, trial operations, biostatistics, and program management.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or MD with a minimum of 12 years' experience in clinical pharmacology, with a proven track record of leadership and success in global regulatory interactions. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively, and a hands-on approach to the design and execution of Phase 1 studies. Experience in a matrix environment, a strong publication record, and the ability to deliver results on time are essential. The Executive Director will also be responsible for developing and managing the clinical pharmacology department, including recruiting, leading, and developing a team in line with the company's HR policies.
