Job Description
This is a full‑time experienced Maintenance Mechanic position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. Maintenance Mechanics also repair AC/DC electrical systems, read schematics, and use electrical testing equipment (Volt‑Ohm meter, ampere meter, oscilloscope). Experienced Mechanics have extensive knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls and contribute a unique skillset through the use of preventive maintenance systems and work order tracking. They can work on any equipment within the facility and operate lathes, mills, arc and Heliarc® welders for repair and fabrication.
If you do not have extensive experience, you may be better suited for one of our entry‑level positions. You will be asked to complete a hands‑on electrical skills test before the in‑person interview.

Work varies day to day depending on need, and hours vary by assigned location. The manufacturing facilities are large and conditions can be loud; temperature control is limited, so indoor conditions are impacted by seasons and weather.
Key Expertise
- Deep understanding of high‑voltage wiring (480 V 3‑phase motors)
- Multi‑craft maintenance and repair (e.g. performing interrelated repairs on electrical and mechanical systems)
Daily Responsibilities
- Assist entry‑level mechanics with difficult repairs
- Work under pressure to fix equipment and get machines running urgently
- Troubleshoot issues on a wide variety of equipment
- Conduct repair failures of production and facilities equipment
- Ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability
- Respond to maintenance calls, sometimes completing a repair that has already started
- Inspect machines, develop repair lists, and identify short‑term and long‑term repairs so that machines run correctly
- Work from task lists when diagnosing machines and taking corrective actions
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Willing to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Willing and able to work in an environment with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces
- Electrical certification, maintenance manufacturing experience, technical school training, or welding experience preferred
- Proficient in PLC troubleshooting skills, electrical schematics, PLC wiring experience
