The GE Vernova Corporate HR team is looking for an HR Data Analyst to join the HR Reporting & Analytics Center of Expertise. The primary expectations of the role include data blending, in-depth analyses, and solutions development to support our people strategy and HR function priorities. The HR Data Analyst is the link between stakeholder needs and complex data requirements that cannot be accessed through self-service channels. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys building, figuring out the best way to achieve results, and working closely with teams across GE Vernova HR to solve challenging problems.
Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:
- Translate data analyses into visualizations and actionable insights for high-priority topics such as Safety, Talent, Total Rewards and more.
- Contribute to one-time analyses, special projects, and initiatives for the HR Reporting & Analytics COE.
- Partner with the COE leader and other HR leaders on designing data research, defining hypotheses, aggregating data, and running multiple statistical models.
- Collaborate with contacts within the businesses to facilitate best practice sharing, trouble shooting, and needs analysis.
- Experiment and think creatively to troubleshoot and/or find the right solution. Drive to understand the need or problem to solve.
- Connect with colleagues in HR, DT, Finance, and other domains to resolve data and data source issues.
- Ensure high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and significant years of relevant work experience with exposure to HR reporting and analytics, technology and/or operations.
- Hands on experience in quantitative data validation, analysis and interpretation with multinational companies or large corporations at corporate/regional/global level – including Workday and Tableau.
- Ability to gather and visualize data from a variety of sources.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve issues. Looks for ways to standardize, simplify and drive efficiency.
- Ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities.
- Collaborates effectively with others through influencing, coaching, and/or coordinating within and beyond own team.
- Knowledge and experience on protecting sensitive data.
- Experience with tools and languages such as Python, R, Tableau, and in the design and implementation of data pipelines that support the continuous delivery of insights.
Desired:
- Good eye for design and aesthetics as it relates to data and information sharing.
- Strong track record in developing and conducting projects unilaterally in all stages – planning, kick off, work coordination, proposal, implementation, and adoption.
- Experience in providing independent technical guidance and counsel to HR stakeholders at various level of experience and hierarchy in the organization. Ability to adapt advisory style and tailor final products to target audiences.
- Experience in advanced statistical methods around hypothesis testing, clustering, machine learning predictions, or text mining.
- Demonstrated excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow process with great detail and accuracy.
- Builds networks to enhance effectiveness and share knowledge.
- Actively seeks out expertise and best practice, related to own area of contribution.
