Job Description

Reports To: Food & Beverage Director
Supervises: 20 to 40 Front of House teammates

General Purpose: The Restaurant Manager manages the restaurant's daily operations, including the selection, development, and performance management of front‑of‑house teammates. They oversee inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimize profits, and ensure guests are satisfied with their dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest level of service the guest expects.
  • Ensure the restaurant is staffed sufficiently for each meal period.
  • Maintain staff morale high.
  • Roll up sleeves and "get dirty" to keep standards high and reduce costs where possible.
  • Train staff consistently; provide verbal and written coaching.
  • Ensure all employees follow service standards.
  • Identify ways to operate more efficiently, cut costs, and drive revenue.
  • Ensure cleanliness of staff and restaurant.
  • Create total awareness of in‑house VIPs and review names with staff.
  • Constantly seek improvement in self, staff, and the company.
  • Cultivate a following of regulars.
  • Report to work on time and ready for scheduled shifts.
  • Maintain a positive, friendly attitude with staff and guests.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly appearance in the restaurant service area.
  • Ensure proper uniforms/dress for all staff.
  • Assist/execution of all tasks as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Screen all potential staff members before an interview with the F&B Director.
  • Lead training program for all new hires.
  • Implement training policies and schedules for new hires.
  • Keep all training documents up to date and accessible.
  • Communicate re‑training needs for new hires and other teammates.
  • Implement and administer employee reward program (contests & gift cards).
  • Interview potential employees/hiring.
  • Maintain and enforce steps of service protocols and standards of service.
  • Complete new hire paperwork to be given to HR.
  • Submit Personnel Action Forms for all teammate gains/losses/status changes.
  • Review and approve time‑clock activity.
  • Attend daily and weekly meetings as required.

Qualifications

  • Competent with Windows‑based computers, Microsoft Office, and industry‑standard software.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c.
  • Must pass a background check.

Education / Formal Training

Some college education.

Experience

  • Two to four years in a high‑volume, high‑quality restaurant operation.
  • Minimum of one year of management/supervisory experience.
  • Previous job in a restaurant line position.
  • Strong F&B knowledge acquired through education, work, and curiosity.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel.
