About the Role
Tecomet’s
Kenosha, WI
facility is seeking an experienced
CNC Machinist III
to join our team producing precision
medical instruments
— including spinal cord tools, surgical clips, and other proprietary components. This is
low-volume, high-mix machining
in a
tight-tolerance
environment, using a range of advanced CNC equipment.
We’re looking for a
setup-level machinist
with strong experience in
milling, turning, or Swiss machining
who can handle complex work and contribute to process improvements.
⏰ Available Shifts
1st Shift:
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Mon–Fri) →
Mandatory 5 hours OT/week 2nd Shift:
2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (Mon–Fri) →
Mandatory 5 hours OT/week + $1/hour shift premium
What You’ll Do
✅ Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machines within tight tolerances ✅ Work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and CNC programs ✅ Troubleshoot setups, make offsets, and replace tooling as needed ✅ Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools ✅ Assist with fixture design improvements and process optimization ✅ Maintain accurate production documentation and follow GMP/GDP standards ✅ Perform basic programming edits and minor code adjustments ✅ Train and mentor junior machinists on setup and operation best practices ✅ Keep machines maintained and work areas organized to 5S standards
️ Requirements
Required:
5+ years CNC machining experience (setup & operation)
Strong blueprint reading skills and GD&T interpretation
Experience with precision measuring tools
High school diploma or GED
US Citizenship or Green Card (ITAR compliance)
Preferred:
Swiss machining experience (Star/Tsugami)
Experience in medical device manufacturing
Associate degree, machinist apprenticeship, or equivalent training
