Overview
We’re looking for a full-time Social Video Producer who can concept, write, produce, and post-produce short-form video content that aligns with WHEN’s mission. This role blends journalistic curiosity with creative storytelling - ideal for someone who’s passionate about explaining complex ideas clearly and creatively. This job would be remote.
Responsibilities
Research, write, and produce short-form social videos that spotlight WHEN’s mission and initiatives.
Work with the VP of Production to create and develop new ideas that are engaging and optimized for social.
Concept and build repeatable un-hosted formats (explainers, motion-led stories, etc.).
Work with a social editor and oversee the post-production process — ensuring each edit is optimized for engagement and comprehension.
Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Social Editor to deliver cohesive weekly content.
Qualifications
4+ years producing and scripting content for social platforms (TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts).
Strong editorial and writing skills; able to simplify complex topics with clarity and flair.
Moderate editing skills required (Premiere, CapCut, or similar).
Shooting and field experience is a plus.
Motion graphics experience is a plus.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple stories at once.
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.
Excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.
Experience in social justice or nonprofit sectors is a plus.
Compensation $110,000–$120,000
Location Remote (U.S. or New York based preferred)
