Where You Will Work: 605 Suwannee St, Tallahassee FL 32399 Annual Salary Range: $102,082.55 - $132,106.83 Your Specific Responsibilities

Develops policies and implementation plans for the use of innovative materials and technologies related to bridge design. Develops specifications, design procedures and guidelines for the use of innovative materials and technologies related to bridge design. Performs and reviews special assignments involving bridge design, researches existing literature, performs calculations and analysis to develop design policies and specifications Performs and reviews designs and design calculations for in-house bridge design projects. Identifies structures research needs and manages research projects. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of: Knowledge of structural design software, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office Skills in: Skilled in structural design and analysis of prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, steel members and fiber reinforced polymers. Skilled in the interpretation and application of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) Bridge Design Specifications. Skilled in the use and preparation of Department of Transportation policies and procedures in the areas of Structures Design, Roadway Design, and Construction Specifications Skilled in the preparation and review of structural drawings. Ability to communicate effectively and work independently Abilities

Ability to plan, coordinate, and implement Florida Department of Transportation Structural Design Standards. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Licensure/Registration/Certification

Registration as a Professional Engineer in accordance with Florida Statute 471. Minimum Qualifications

Registration as a Professional Engineer in accordance with Florida Statute 471 and two years of post-registration experience. Benefits
