Department Information Colorado House Republicans are seeking a creative, tech‑savvy Digital Communications & Content Advisor to manage and grow our digital presence. This role is ideal for someone with strong visual storytelling skills, a passion for social media, and the ability to translate complex topics into engaging, accessible content across platforms. This is a session‑only position and will conclude at the end of the 2026 Legislative Session.

Description Of Job

Create, edit, and manage digital content, including videos, graphics, newsletters, and talking points.

Develop and implement content strategies across social media, email, and web platforms.

Write clear, engaging copy tailored to each digital channel.

Monitor news cycles and identify opportunities for proactive media engagement and rapid response.

Track and analyze performance metrics to inform strategy and optimize engagement.

Manage and maintain digital content calendars for timely and relevant posts.

Clip, caption, and distribute video of members speaking on the House floor or in committee.

Ensure consistent brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all digital outputs.

Support live coverage of events, announcements, and key moments on digital platforms.

Be willing to assist staff on a variety of projects and tasks as assigned by members of the caucus.

Willingness to be flexible to be in the office when House committees and floor are in session.

The salary range is $50,000-$60,000, depending on qualifications and experience. A competitive benefits package is provided that includes health and dental insurance paid primarily by the employer, life insurance covered by the employer, a Defined Benefit or Defined Contribution PERA retirement plan, 10 paid sick days and 12 paid vacation days per year (not including state and federal holidays), 8 weeks of paid family medical leave after the first year, and a complimentary parking space or RTD ecopass.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions Of Employment & Appeal Rights

Experience in digital communications, content creation, or social media strategy.

Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.

Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar.

Experience with video editing for social media platforms (e.g., reels, shorts, and livestream clips).

Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, YouTube, Threads, TikTok, etc.).

Experience managing content calendars and juggling multiple deadlines.

Familiarity with analytics tools (Meta Insights, Google Analytics, etc.).

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Skills

Graphic design experience with political or advocacy messaging.

Experience using content management systems or email marketing platforms.
