We are a hybrid company with a focus on in-person collaboration when necessary. Employees are expected to be available to work from one of our office hubs at least two days per week, or eight days per month. Our US hub locations include: Austin, TX; New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA; and the Arlington, VA metro area. Please ensure you can realistically commit to this structure before applying. As our Director of Solutions Engineering, you’ll be the architect of a new, business-critical function that bridges customer ambition with technical possibility. This is a role for a builder: someone who can roll up their sleeves, build up a team, and embed technical excellence into every part of the enterprise sales journey. You’ll work hand-in-hand with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to make sure our largest customers not only say “yes” — but launch smoothly, securely, and with confidence. What You’ll Do
Build the Solutions Engineering team from the ground up. Define team structure and hiring profiles. Create demo standards, playbooks, and reusable technical templates to streamline pre-sales engagement Embed SEs into strategic enterprise deals to drive discovery, demo execution, and technical win rates Reduce evaluation timelines and accelerate enterprise deployment velocity across high-stakes deals Partner cross-functionally to ensure platform readiness, data security, and smooth customer onboarding Represent the technical voice of the field in GTM leadership forums and roadmap discussions Build strong relationships with customer CTOs, CIOs, and InfoSec leaders to support trust and solution alignment Requirements
10+ years in enterprise SaaS, including 5+ leading Solutions Engineering or Technical Sales teams A track record of scaling SE orgs from startup to maturity in high-growth environments Deep knowledge of enterprise integrations, APIs, data architecture, and security frameworks Experience partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver customer impact Background in HR Tech, HCM, or related enterprise platforms (preferred but not required) Executive presence and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business audiences A builder's mindset and bias for action.
