Overview
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for the sale of the organization's products and services in the assigned district using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation. This position is responsible for the profit generated within the assigned territory which is the Southeast Region of the United States. The states included in this sales region are: GA, FL, AL, MS, LA, AR, TN, NC. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning and technical development of products and services. Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include sales channel partner management, selling direct to OEM and selected direct accounts, while sustaining our aggressive sales growth rates. Manage and interpret customer requirements, calculate client quotations, negotiate contract terms, resolve customer problems, offer after-sales support services, and work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and other external technical experts. Assist distribution with organizational skills, account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets, with emphasis on new account development and profitability. Work with Sales Management to develop yearly bookings, sales and margin goals; develop and execute a marketing plan for increased brand awareness and bookings. Involves distributor sales orientation and training programs. Act as a resource to distribution in contract opportunities and proposals. Assist distribution with contract negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts. Assist with planning of sales exhibits, attend trade shows, participate in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs, and coordinate and assist in leading sales meetings. Stay informed of new products, services and other information of interest to customers. Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 3+ years of field sales experience Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and large groups Resides in the territory in which the person will be managing Core Competencies
Experience/demonstrated proficiency with customer facing skills Excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels within and outside of the organization and in cross-functional collaborations Preferences
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or business field Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
