The Head of Maintenance oversees the safe, compliant and efficient running of maintenance operations globally, including line maintenance, heavy maintenance, and maintenance control activities. Responsibilities
Oversees all maintenance operations to ensure they are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures. Ensures that all maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations are performed in compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Supervises and directs the line maintenance manager, heavy maintenance manager, and maintenance control personnel, ensuring they are properly trained and qualified for their roles. Implements and maintains the tanker maintenance program tasks to ensure the airworthiness of all articles maintained. Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Aviation Management, Education, Business Administration). Experience
Must hold an FAA mechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant (A&P) ratings or be an EASA Part 66 licensed engineer. Have at least 10 years of experience in a comparable role (Director of Maintenance or equivalent) in an FAA Part 121 or Part 135 air carrier organization, maintaining aircraft of the same category and class as AIRMOB flies; or Have at least 6 years of experience as head of operations in an FAA certificated MRO (Part 145) airframe heavy maintenance provider, including at least 2 years in approving aircraft for return to service, with related Part 121/135 experience. Skills
Must be able to lead subordinate managers and coordinate and prioritize a very heavy workload. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on collaboration. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Certifications
Must hold an FAA mechanic certificate with airframe and powerplant (A&P) ratings or be a EASA Part 66 licensed engineer. Valid Driver’s License. Current US Passport. Work Authorization / Security Clearance
The employee must be a US citizen. The employee must be able to hold and maintain a Top Secret (or higher) Clearance Level. Our Culture
