The US and Americas Head of Finance NFR is responsible for ensuring the effective management of Non-Financial Risks (NFR) across the US and Americas Finance function. NFRs include, but are not limited to, Financial Reporting Risk, Regulatory Reporting Risk, Model Risk, Data Risk and People Risk. This is an executive leadership role focused on enhancing the control environment in the face of regulator and Board scrutiny. The US and Americas Head of Finance NFR is responsible for ensuring the adequacy of the SOX framework for HSBC USA Inc, and the effectiveness and assurance over SOX controls within the US and Americas that support the HSBC Holdings plc SOX framework. Responsibilities

Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including the US and Americas Finance Leadership Team, senior management in Global Finance, Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, External Auditors and regulators Provide insights on remediation, uplift and maintenance of the control environment to relevant Disclosure Committees, Audit Committees, and the US and Americas Finance Leadership Team Lead a team of risk management experts across multiple locations and strategically manage this team to support NFR management, including location strategy and organizational structure aligned with regional priorities Promote desired risk culture and appropriate tone at the top within the broader US and Americas Finance team Specific Responsibilities Provide strategic direction to the US and Americas Finance management team on the ongoing enhancement of the NFR risk profile of the Finance function Support Risk Owners in managing all relevant NFRs, including RCAs, CMPs, and challenging the adequacy of existing controls Collaborate with Risk Owners and business leads to understand emerging risks and determine necessary changes to controls, resources and operations Assist Control Owners to avoid ineffective controls and design monitoring that is fit for purpose Guide management in NFR assessment of material change programs, including milestones and resource allocation for controls outcomes Oversee regional assurance plan delivery with the Group Finance Assurance team Lead SOX activities in the region according to Global SOX framework and local requirements; report to Group SOX on Group-level matters Review Account Reconciliation Completion Certificate (ARCC) and escalate thematic issues to local management Define Financial Reporting and Tax Risk Appetite Statements (RAS) with Risk Stewards and obtain local governance approval Lead regional regulatory reporting-focused targeted transaction testing (TTT) activities in coordination with the IRR Program Governance & Attendance

Participate in regional governance forums and committees as requested; roles include RCMM (lead), Audit Committee for HUSI (attend and present), Disclosure Committees for HUSI (member), Regulatory Reporting Governance Forum (RRGF) (member), and Regional Non-Financial Risk Management meetings (member) Accountabilities

Collaborate with regional CFOs, Financial Controllers, Treasury and Business Finance teams, regional Risk Stewards and NFR management in other functions Engage with HBEU/CIB and Group Finance NFR teams; maintain professional relationships with auditors and regulators Drive standardization of operating model and consistency of risk management practices across teams Lead a global team through effective communication, performance management and development to enhance risk management capabilities Leadership & Values

Lead and develop a global team to drive effective NFR management and strengthen the Finance control environment Foster cross-region collaboration within Finance and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovative risk management Promote learning and development across the team to understand changing technologies and sub-functions in Finance Other

Provide oversight to ensure controls are designed effectively and operate in line with internal/audits and regulatory expectations Identify and mitigate operational risk in a cost-effective manner Ensure activities are embedded into SOX and operational risk frameworks Support standardization and efficiency improvements within the team Maintain internal controls, including timely implementation of audit points and regulator-identified issues Qualifications
