Infinity Systems Engineering . This position is responsible for performing Civil and Structural Engineering tasks and managing consulting projects. Tasks include performing consulting and loss investigations, engineering analysis and engineering calculations. The incumbent presents findings by preparing technical reports for clients, and by providing sworn oral testimony and exhibits. The role is targeted as a Senior Consultant; however, if a candidate has greater experience, a Managing Consultant level or higher may be considered if the candidate has an established book of clients. Key Responsibilities
Develop local clients and projects in Civil/Structural areas, working with ESi resources in other offices. Assist in other Civil Engineering projects in the local office, including hydrology and water resource projects. Communicate with clients or potential clients and prepare or review project proposals to determine tasks, schedule, budget, and procedures. Make recommendations to clients or potential clients and to the Practice Director to accept or decline projects; adjust scope as needed during projects. Plan, manage and coordinate work with ESi consultants and others to meet project goals within time and budget. May testify in deposition or trials as an expert witness or assist in preparing another expert to testify. Obtain internal work from other ESi consultants in Civil and Structural Engineering areas. Perform field inspections of structures or equipment to determine cause and origin of damages and develop condition assessments and alternatives. Prepare and review technical reports; provide technical advice to resolve problems; plan and assign project tasks. Coordinate with project staff to complete work plans and allocate duties and scope of tasks. Direct or coordinate project personnel to ensure on-schedule progress and within budgets; may also provide engineering services directly for tasks assigned by the project lead. Deliver client presentations and technical conference presentations when appropriate. Mentor junior consultants to support their growth and development. Engage in marketing and business development activities to identify potential clients and expand ESi’s client base; may represent ESi to potential clients at conferences and meetings. Assist with daily tasks such as artifact handling, office and/or lab maintenance, as directed by the Operations Manager. Education Requirements
Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited institution; BS (MS preferred); or equivalent non-US qualifications. Professional Engineer license (CE and/or SE and/or GE). EIT plus ability to obtain PE license within the first year may be considered. Experience Requirements
5-10 years’ experience in civil and structural engineering. Experience with inspection and engineering of residential and industrial facilities. Structural inspection and condition assessment experience preferred. Computer skills: proficient with Microsoft Office; CAD capability a plus; ability to perform field work with standard test equipment. Compensation will be a competitive base salary plus bonus potential based on individual and organizational performance. Physical Demands
