Plans and develops conservation programs with the goal of improving customer energy efficiency. Provides technical guidance and leadership in conserving energy, interpreting and coordinating conservation programs, and maximizing customer adoption of energy-efficient solutions. Maintains expert knowledge in assigned technical areas and applies this expertise to program development and customer delivery. Essential Responsibilities

Review and validate the applicability of large, complex conservation program analyses in assigned areas, including regulatory and internal guidelines for technical-financial models. Document and run models that meet state and corporate guidelines and ensure projects withstand regulatory scrutiny to validate rebate expenditures and maximize investments. Provide guidance, training and education to internal staff, Marketing and Sales, customers and trade allies on technology issues. Include on-site consultation with customers and collaboration with product development and program managers to improve and expand offerings. Serve as the technical expert for gas or electric conservation programs (HVAC, lighting, compressed air, energy-efficient building construction, motors, controls, industrial processing, boilers, furnaces, recommissioning). Stay informed on new methods and developments to guide program emphasis and introduce new programs as warranted. Conceive, plan and conduct research on new technologies and applications to enhance conservation offerings. Monitor energy-related codes and assess how changes affect program guidelines and performance. Leverage internal expertise and develop relationships with external networks (engineering and architectural firms, government agencies, industry associations, research firms) to map opportunities for customers and provide tailored consulting on project delivery and technical sales. Plan and provide technical guidance to junior staff; evaluate progress and mentor internal staff to achieve objectives. Minimum Requirements

BSME, BSEE or related engineering degree from an ABET-accredited curriculum required. Licensed Professional Engineer certification preferred. 8 years' energy conservation experience preferred in areas such as energy engineering consulting, HVAC, lighting, compressed air, energy-efficient building construction, motors, controls, industrial processing, boilers, furnaces, recommissioning. 1 year minimum of utility conservation program experience. Preferred Experience

4+ years of utility conservation program experience preferred. Knowledge of residential demand-side management preferred. Company and Benefits
