Position Summary The Senior Manager of Design Engineering leads all product development efforts within the LTCC design group, overseeing circuit design, simulation, and validation of advanced RF/microwave components. Reporting to the General Manager of the business unit. This role fosters leadership whilst allowing the progression of innovation, design quality, and manufacturability across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and engineering excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead design of RF/microwave filters, splitters, couplers, baluns, and related subassemblies. Manage LTCC design team execution, design flow, and project delivery against performance, yield, and cost targets. Oversee circuit, EM, and multiphysics simulations using tools such as ADS, HFSS, CST, Genesys, and PSpice. Develop and maintain simulation model libraries (FEM/MoM) for LTCCs, PCBs, connectors, and calibration standards. Implement optimized design methodologies to improve first-pass success rates and reduce turnaround time. Guide topology selection, design time budgeting, and technical risk mitigation. Interface with Production, Quality, Reliability, and Supply Chain teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability. Lead design reviews, provide technical support to customers, and contribute to patent/IP development. Support product roadmap planning, annual CapEx/personnel budgets, and continuous improvement initiatives. Leadership & Supervision Direct and mentor design and applications engineers; manage workload, priorities, and performance metrics. Define objectives, KPIs, and development plans for team members. Maintain rigorous design documentation and compliance with ISO/LEAN and gated development processes. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence within the LTCC design team. Qualifications MSEE or BSEE, plus 10+ years in RF/microwave circuit design and engineering management. Proven experience designing passive RF components (filters, splitters, couplers, transformers) up to mmWave frequencies. Proficiency in 2.5D/3D EM simulation, circuit modeling, and laboratory validation. Strong background in manufacturability, yield optimization, and design-for-production methodologies. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Experience within ISO and LEAN environments and phase-gated product development. U.S. Citizen or Green Card Only. Seniority level
