Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic imaging procedures Explains procedures and process to patients Operates imaging equipment, sets exposure factors, and ensures images have proper detail and accuracy Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures Processes images and conducts quality control checks Prepares images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and coordinates repairs for radiologic equipment Provides CT diagnostic services by operating CT equipment and related devices Follows established scan protocols Demonstrates proper operation of CT equipment Required Qualifications
High school diploma / GED License or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology in New York ARRT certification 2+ years of experience in Radiology Ability to work independently in a CT environment Additional Information
