The Vice President, Supply Chain Operations will be assigned specific customer accounts and warehouse sites they are responsible for to deliver commercial success and site operational excellence. Sites may consist of any combination of wholesale, retail, and ecommerce fulfillment. The VP will lead their team across Commercial, Operations and Solutions, People and P&L. What you’ll do on a typical day
Lead relationships with senior customer leadership, above the plant level, ensuring service excellence is achieved. Ensure site performance is aligned to contractual KPIs and that site metrics are published in accordance with customer and contractual priorities. Position GXO to be opportunistic with growth. Upsell the customer once account is established. Coordinate solutions with customers and ensure requirements are met. Partner with Division President to articulate clear direction and strategy for the division. Establish the connection between senior leadership and the site. Set expectations and drive operational excellence. Own S&OP for the group and ensure all sites perform robust S&OP in accordance with defined standards. Ensure sites perform effective planning routines to achieve Total Building Flow and resource agility. Own the P&L for the group. Responsible for revenue and profit attainment, including EBITDA budgeting and gap mitigation. Onboard new customers, including RFP, pricing and solution validation. Act as a key stakeholder in commercial discussions with existing customers and ensure commercial decisions align with group direction and objectives. Manage labor costs and ensure organizational structures are optimized to satisfy operations and service excellence. What you need to succeed at GXO
At a minimum, you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management in a distribution environment Demonstrated planning, project management and analytical skills Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with all levels of an organization, from hourly associates to senior executives, as well as external customers Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail It’d be great if you also have: 15 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management MBA or other advanced degree Availability to travel up to 75% of the time Experience in an ISO environment Strong previous experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence in complex warehousing/logistics environments Success with building a diverse, inclusive workforce and leading a culture of belonging that respects every team member We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains
