Overview

Our Health Information Technician will perform data management functions in a variety of applications: Dictation/ Transcription, Clinical System, ADT System, Record Tracking System, Ambulatory Electronic Records “NextGen”, PeriGen, HMED, ChartMaxx; Performs all QA functions of scanned records in ChartMaxx: quantitative and qualitative analysis of the contents of Medical Records, and corrections. Responsibilities

Prep records and loose reports in prescribed order and binds records securely. Create new charts as needed and creates new volume for each admission. Analyze both qualitatively and quantitatively the charts of all discharged patients for completeness Maintain and update physician database file Create and maintain all required departmental logs (e.g., operative report logs, discharge summary logs, physician incomplete logs). Perform all quality control procedures required by the department to ensure the accuracy of data Qualifications

Associate’s Degree Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in chart analysis, incomplete area and correspondence within the Health Information Services area Successful completion of any coding program ICD-9, CPT-4 recognized by the American Health Information Management Association. Knowledge of the TJC Standards and State medical record documentation requirements. Pay Range
