Overview

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions

Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late-afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and keeping team members current on their individual training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure the selection of qualified team members. Make sure telephone is answered according to company policy. Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure one-off orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure. Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed in an efficient and friendly manner, refunds are issued accurately using the correct payment methods, and returned merchandise is processed or staged in the returns area correctly. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store. Ensure that Zipline messages are communicated, and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed as assigned. Ensure all team members comply with company policies, including adherence to posted work schedules, approvals for changes/deviations, and accurate clock in/out procedures. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, securing money/deposits per policy, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors and securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing delivery vehicle(s). Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Required:

Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification Desired:

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired) Total Compensation Package
