Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Sr. Quality Engineer will report to the Technology Department. This role is responsible for leading a team of QA testers/engineers in testing our suite of products and software products to deliver high quality solutions via SaaS and On-Premises models. You will be an experienced leader in driving and implementing QA frameworks, processes, and strategies. You will implement industry standard quality assurance policies and practices, and ensure they are followed by measuring product and process quality. The incumbent will build relationships and trust at all levels within the organization as they communicate project issues, status, and successes with all team members. You must be creative, client focused, solutions-driven, organized, and thrive in a dynamic environment with strong people skills. Direct the development of the QA strategy, methodology, discipline, and framework. Drive and improve the QA team in automated and agile testing. Provide technical expertise in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Processes, Tools, and Techniques across the teams. Define QA strategy, approach, and execution in development projects; lead and direct the QA team. Provide leadership and technical expertise within Test Automation and Quality Assurance. Performance management, coaching, and professional development for QA team; ensure testing skill set is up to date. Focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools and techniques; build and maintain quality standards and enforce testing standards. Monitor QA activities, test results, defects, root cause analysis, and drive process improvements. Ensure proper usage of testing tools for functional, performance, and automation testing; manage training and continuous learning of QA staff. Act as escalation point for testing and quality assurance; collaborate with development to meet quality goals. Gather and present testing metrics to key stakeholders; liaise with Customer Support, Client Services, and Operations to incorporate feedback. Facilitate inter-team communication across agile projects; measure product quality and share metrics with teams and management. Balance best practices with delivering high business value; outline detailed testing tasks during sprint planning. Engage with developers to discuss how solution design impacts dependencies; design and implement high-quality automated test cases. Develop testable interfaces between the system under test and the automation framework; translate manual regression tests into automated tests. Ensure automated regression tests run in nightly builds; maintain regression test suite and promote code through the release process. Produce comprehensive test plans and cases; estimate and coordinate testing activities; develop automation scripts using open-source tools. Identify, document, and track bugs; conduct thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved; develop testing processes for new and existing products. Collaborate with internal teams to identify system requirements; monitor debugging results and investigate causes of non-conforming software. Track quality assurance metrics and stay up to date with new testing tools and strategies; mentor junior team members. Support timely releases and adherence to release activities; encourage development community practices. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications
Years of Experience: 7-10 years; 5-7 years of leadership experience Degree: Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience Certification: QA testing related certifications (or willingness to obtain) such as CSTE, CSQA, CAST 7+ years of experience in software development; 5 years managing a QA team Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban); specialization in performance, load testing, security, automation, release management, and agile training Hands-on experience with automation tools, frameworks, and standard methodologies; leadership of test efforts for software/product development Experience with Cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and various IT platforms; familiar with SDLC and CI tools UI and API automation experience (Selenium, Postman, Python, JMeter, BlazeMeter, BrowserStack, MABL) Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, X-Ray; CI tools (Jenkins, ADO, Bitbucket, Spinnaker) Strong SQL and scripting skills; experience with API and SaaS/PaaS integrations Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to prepare SDLC artifacts and testing documentation Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus Experience with complex technical integrations and cloud platforms; familiarity with XML, JavaScript, .NET, T-SQL, JQuery, JSON is a plus Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development; SDLC understanding Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and mentoring junior team members Compensation & Benefits
