Talent Solutions | Radiopharma and Nuclear Energy (Fusion, Fission, SMR) Procurement Manager – Advanced Energy Systems An innovative company in the advanced nuclear energy sector is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to support equipment procurement and supply chain coordination for next-generation reactor construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the commercialization of advanced energy technologies by ensuring the timely delivery of process and power plant equipment, specialized components, and critical materials. You’ll collaborate closely with design engineering, quality assurance, and project management teams to help deliver a groundbreaking clean energy solution.
Responsibilities
Procurement Management
Prepare purchase orders and requisitions for power plant equipment, specialized components, and construction materials.
Maintain procurement and delivery tracking systems.
Collaborate with engineering teams on vendor selection, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
Manage procurement documentation in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Support supplier qualification and certification processes.
Supply Chain Coordination
Track and expedite critical equipment deliveries to meet project schedules.
Monitor supplier production progress and resolve delivery challenges.
Coordinate logistics, shipping, and delivery schedules with construction teams.
Maintain supplier performance records and ensure compliance with trade regulations.
Quality and Compliance
Ensure all procurement activities align with rigorous quality assurance standards (e.g., 10 CFR 50 Appendix B).
Support supplier audits, inspections, and certification processes.
Manage documentation and records to meet QA program requirements.
Identify and mitigate risks related to suspect or counterfeit items.
Project Coordination
Partner with engineering, project management, and construction teams to align material requirements with project milestones.
Provide accurate delivery forecasts and procurement updates.
Support planning and procurement for long-lead and critical-path equipment.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
Experience:
10+ years in procurement, supply chain management, or expediting roles.
Strong knowledge of purchase order processing, vendor management, and logistics coordination.
ERP and procurement software experience required.
Prior experience in nuclear, aerospace, or power generation industries preferred.
Skills:
Excellent organizational, communication, and vendor management abilities.
Strong understanding of complex supply chains and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to manage procurement for large-scale industrial projects.
Preferred:
Familiarity with nuclear quality standards (e.g., 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1, ASME III).
Experience with long-lead equipment procurement and power plant construction.
Knowledge of global logistics, customs, and import/export regulations.
