Position Summary As a BMC Radiologic Technologist, you will perform vital X-ray imaging for all trauma, inpatients and outpatients. These images will assist our providers to accurately diagnose and care for our patients. You will gain a wide range of experience using cutting-edge technology, while working collaboratively with other department staff and our Radiology Team to help further BMC’s mission of providing exceptional care for all. Job Responsibilities
Diagnostic Imaging: Perform appropriate studies in a timely manner, using proper positioning, technique and exposure factors as necessary and required, with a goal to use the lowest dose possible Set up equipment, provide quality radiographs for radiologists and other colleagues, and perform other duties as requested by the X-ray Lead, Supervisor, Manager, and Radiology Director Perform exams on patients of all ages as required in all areas that Diagnostic Radiology is located and needed Ensure best turnaround time for all ordered exams to reduce delays in care Exams to be performed as determined through our established routine protocols, ensuring exams ordered match the reason for exam and patient presentation, condition and history Job Requirements
Current or the ability to obtain one of the following licensure/certifications prior to start date: Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License and ARRT Certification and Registration, or Temporary Massachusetts Rad Tech License (must pass the national ARRT registry exam within one year and then apply for and receive permanent Massachusetts licensure within the one year) Current BLS/CPR Certification, or the ability to obtain one prior to start date Completion of two years post-high school training in an approved school of radiologic technology Knowledge of the principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology practices and the operation of radiologic equipment Preferred Qualifications and Role Expectations
One year of Radiologic Technology work experience in a hospital preferred Maintain all Continuing Education Units Excellent communication skills and initiative Job Benefits

We perform over 120,000 exams a year on inpatient, outpatient and trauma patients. By utilizing the most sophisticated x-ray imaging technology, our team of state licensed and ARRT certified and registered technologists ensures we deliver on our mission of delivering exceptional and equitable care to all.
