Overview

Senior Director, Investor Relations Finance at Medtronic. You will lead the development and execution of the global investor relations strategy related to financial communication. The role reports to the Vice President, Head of Investor Relations and serves as an interface between Medtronic and the investment community, responsible for communicating the company’s vision, strategy, and financial performance to institutional investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

Serve as a company spokesperson with institutional investors and equity research analysts, participating in investor meetings (in-person and virtual), roadshows, financial conferences, and related events, and respond to inbound questions. Manage all aspects of financial communications, including preparation of financial-related earnings materials, financial guidance, and CFO Q&A. Lead and create communications for key financial transaction events such as M&A, divestitures, and debt offerings. Make recommendations to optimize the company’s financial disclosure. Track equity research analyst financial models and consensus; monitor shareholder activity, including 13-F filings and targeting analyses to identify opportunities and risks. Collaborate with Finance (FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Accounting), Corporate Development, Communications, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant messaging in disclosures. Monitor and analyze investor sentiment, market trends, stock performance, and competitor activity to inform executive leadership and corporate strategy. Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors and sell-side analysts, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries. Provide strategic support to executive management, including relevant financial and operational background information and candid feedback. Serve as IR liaison to Medtronic portfolios: develop in-depth knowledge of their businesses and provide IR feedback to leadership. Mentor and develop other IR team members to support professional growth and drive team success; foster collaboration, accountability, and excellence in IR. Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree plus 15+ years of relevant experience (or 13+ with an advanced degree) with 10+ years of managerial experience. Nice to Have

In-depth understanding of financial and investment markets; established relationships with investors/analysts preferred. Experience in medical devices or healthcare sector. Background in equity research, investment management, investor relations, strategy, or finance. Exceptional financial and investment analysis, oral and written communication, and presentation skills; ability to distill complex concepts into clear messages. Experience working with investors, senior executives, or other high-touch client groups. Strong leadership and team management skills with cross-functional collaboration. Strong interpersonal skills: poised, persuasive, confident, diplomatic, and discreet. Flexible, quick learner; thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous environment.
