Per Diem Physician - Family Medicine-Kelsey-Seybold Clinic-Main Campus
Overview: Per Diem Internal Medicine / Family Medicine physicians examine adult patients 18 years and older to ensure proper care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of various medical conditions. They request medically necessary tests, follow-up visits, and referrals to specialists. Per Diem physicians see patients in office from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with potential opportunities to work after hours, on weekends, and to support virtual medicine. They are trained in Epic and manage their own in-baskets, supported by nursing and administrative staff. Per diem physicians work on selected days and shifts and may have outpatient and inpatient responsibilities if desired. They are not required to perform after-hours hospital call. They are compensated at a competitive hourly rate.
Primary Responsibilities
See patients in an outpatient setting Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including new patients and corporate physicals
Participate in the Family Medicine call group; on-call about once per month, with weekend shifts shared with another physician
Conduct annual physicals and wellness exams
Provide preventive medicine services
Required Qualifications
Medical Degree (MD, DO)
Accredited residency training
Licensed or willing to be licensed in the State of Texas
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this role is $226,000 to $366,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary range is defined as total cash compensation at target. Pay is based on factors including experience, certifications, and market considerations.
