Job Summary
The Department of Neurological Sciences at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE is actively recruiting for an academic Movement Disorders Specialist. In this faculty role, you will join a multidisciplinary team of specialists who collaborate to provide cutting edge patient care while teaching providers at all levels of training and researching the latest treatments and discoveries. Our Movement Disorders Clinic is the most comprehensive in the region.
Opportunity Highlights
Robust Movement Disorders Program with more than 4000 outpatient visits per year
Specialized comprehensive clinics treating dystonia, spasticity, and Huntington’s disease
Largest Parkinson’s disease clinic in the region
Opportunity to work with leaders in the field of deep brain stimulation for movement disorders
Only site in the state using Personal Kinetograph (PKG device)
Abundant translational research prospects

The successful candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who is board certified/eligible and has completed fellowship training in movement disorders. Knowledge in subspecialty-specific diagnostics and therapeutics including brain mapping, DBS programming, and chemodenervation is required.
Our compensation package is extremely competitive. In addition, comprehensive benefits including relocation, CME and generous employer paid retirement are offered.
Required Qualifications
MD, BC/BE Neurologist.
Fellowship training in Movement Disorders.
Knowledge of subspecialty-specific diagnostics.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in genetic and non-genetic ataxias.
