Overview

Assistant Team Lead (Mental Health Services) at Vinfen. The ACCS Assistant Team Leader (ATL) promotes integration and functioning of Persons Served (PS) to live successfully in the community. The ATL assists the ACCS Team Leader by providing clinical supervision to licensed and other staff, monitoring engagement of all PS, selecting intervention strategies to reduce barriers to engagement, and overseeing clinical risk assessment and mitigation for the team. Note: This role includes leading and training staff, ensuring trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, person-centered approaches, and collaboration with LPHAs and other professionals. Responsibilities

Oversee clinical programming and service delivery by the team. Provide clinical supervision to clinically licensed and other assigned staff. Monitor engagement status of all PS, consult on intervention strategies, and support LPHAs in addressing disengagement to prevent inappropriate discharge. Collaborate with LPHA and Lead Peer Specialist in orientation, engagement and enrollment activities for PS with high-risk behaviors. Provide competency-based staff training on clinical evidence-based practices (e.g., Motivational Interviewing; Harm Reduction and Addiction Treatment; SBIRT; Housing First; Stages of Change; Seeking Safety; CBT interventions) and the development of Safety Plans and Crisis Prevention plans. Mentor and model best practices and evidence-based interventions for all staff. Support staff use of trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, person-centered and culturally competent approaches. Support LPHA and Licensed staff performance, including supervision, feedback, competency-based assessments, and field supervision to PS. Promote access to healthcare, employment and education services for PS. Promote engagement, housing permanency, community tenure and self-sufficiency. Consult with LPHAs and Licensed staff on treatment plans for difficult-to-engage PS. Regularly review LPHA treatment plans and ensure effective treatment and thorough documentation of PS needs. Oversee clinical risk assessment and management strategies; meet with PS as needed to perform assessments and negotiate program participation. Lead crisis prevention and intervention for high-risk PS; train staff on risk management and safety planning. Manage adherence to risk management and safety procedures; provide on-site consultation with GLE/SIE staff as needed. Address challenging care transitions with LPHAs; coordinate guardianship-related activities and communicate with DMH when applicable. Act as liaison to DMH risk management and Care Coordination entities; notify DMH Site Office of significant events and incidents. Analyze risk data to inform practice improvements and participate in committees and internal/external projects as assigned. Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge And Skills

Strong commitment to the rights and needs of persons served by ACCS to live, work, and engage in meaningful relationships with appropriate supports. Extensive knowledge of clinical treatment principles and modalities, including Motivational Interviewing; Harm Reduction; SBIRT; Housing First; Stages of Change; Seeking Safety; WRAP; CBT interventions. Extensive knowledge of engagement strategies, risk management, recovery-oriented values, and peer support principles. Knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally competent services and the effects of prejudice and poverty. Knowledge of emergency services, community-based mental health, health care, and care coordination resources. Skills to train, supervise and supervise clinicians; ability to provide leadership and independent judgment. Extensive knowledge of self-management, crisis intervention techniques and psychiatric advance directives; formal and informal assessment practices. Knowledge of data-driven decision-making and how to encourage data-informed practice improvements. Proficiency with personal computer applications and documentation standards. Qualifications

Job Requirements: Masters, Ph.D or Psy.D in a relevant professional field required. Licensure in state of service as one of: LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, LABA, LRC, LADC 1, OTR, RN or Licensed Psychologist. One-year clinical experience in progressively responsible positions working with people with psychiatric disability and/or co-occurring disorders. Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport PS. Preference given to bilingual/bicultural applicants and applicants with lived experience of psychiatric conditions. Driving Requirements: Driving is required for this position using Vinfen’s van or a personal vehicle. If using a personal vehicle, you must maintain adequate insurance and a safe driving record. A valid driver’s license, age 21+, and successful driving background check are required. Physical Effort: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift at least 25 pounds, operate a computer, and assist PS with daily living activities. Ability to remain seated or mobile as needed and to communicate effectively with PS, staff, and external parties. Additional Certifications Required: CPR and First Aid within two weeks of hire; MAP within 150 days of hire. Pay Range: USD 82,280.00 per year.
